Sinalampating Sayaw (Pantomina)

This song reminds me a lot when I was in the Bikol Region. Really good memories.  More about this song in here.

Pantomina (also called Sinalampati in Bikol) is a courtship dance imitating the courtship and lovemaking of doves, where men attempt to please the women. It is commonly danced during weddings in Bikol.

Here’s a guy playing it in Spanish guitar:

And its danced like this:

Here’s the lyrics:

Чaŋ maŋah babaheh
Kun mayoч paŋ чagom
Mahugay nin чagah mahugay nin hapon
Чalagad kun sindah чigwah nah nin чagom
Mahugay Octobre, Disyembreŋ sunudon.

Чikah palan, Nenaŋ чan pinagsasabih
Magayon nah burak sah ronaч nah чinih
Magayon чan tindog malinig чan pisŋih
Чarin bagaŋ pusoч чan daчih mawilih.

Kan чikah sadit pah sadit pah man чakoh
Sih satuyaŋ kawat magkurudotkudotan
Kinudot moh чakoh kinudot takah man
Sabih moh sah sakoч luhayluhayah man.

Чaŋ maŋah lalakeh, hudyan sisaboчot
Чan pinagsasabiŋ ŋaraŋ pagkamoчot
Kundiч чan babaheŋ чiyoh minahilod
Чakoŋ minahiliŋ kan maŋah paŋguyod.

Enjoy!
